These women weren't failing because they lacked talent. They were drowning in admin, buried in compliance, and spending their energy on things that had nothing to do with their actual skills.

From her earliest days at the University of Technology Mauritius, Laure carried a vision of building something meaningful, something that would not only create value but also uplift others.
Her career began in Mauritius's financial and business sectors, where she immersed herself in the offshore industry, mastering client onboarding, bank account openings, licensing for different company structures, administrative support, compliance, and anti-money laundering (AML) protocols. That foundation gave her the precision and discipline to move into domestic operations, expanding her expertise into tax compliance, payroll, inventory management, tourism licensing, and executive assistance.
Recognising a gap in structured administrative support for small and medium-sized enterprises, she launched J&L Consulting, a firm dedicated to accounting, tax compliance, and administrative solutions tailored to SMEs across Mauritius. As her portfolio grew, her lifelong passion for food and hospitality inspired MauLamé, a proudly local brand producing and promoting fresh, locally grown products, from vegetables and traditional snacks to teas, juices, and welcome packs for tourists, locals, and Airbnb hosts.
Too many women had the talent and the drive, but the paperwork was holding them back.
To meet the rising demand for authentic, personalised holiday experiences, she founded Kestrel Retreat, a concierge service offering villa and apartment stays with exceptional reviews, alongside curated island tours, airport transfers, restaurant bookings, and private barbecues. Most recently, she launched Fam Antreprenan, an initiative dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs with targeted accounting, administrative, and marketing support.
Her journey is driven by one mission: to transform ideas into impactful ventures that serve, inspire, and create lasting change.
